About "Little big horn"
'Little Bighorn' refers to the famous Battle of the Little Bighorn,
also known as Custer's Last Stand, which took place on June 25-26, 1876, in Montana Territory. According
to the National Park Service, this pivotal battle saw the combined forces of the Lakota, Northern
Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes defeat the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army. The battle has
been extensively documented by the Smithsonian Institution as one of the most significant conflicts in the
American Indian Wars. The site is now preserved as Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, serving
as a memorial to all who fought and died there, representing a complex chapter in American history
involving westward expansion and Native American resistance. Sources: National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution.
